The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs(CTWS) are looking for a permanent Fisheries Technician
III to assist with our fisheries/habitat fieldwork and hatchery operations at the Hood River field
office. The work office is located in Parkdale, OR and involves field, technical, outreach, and office
work. Incumbent will work with minimal supervisory and be expected to problem solve and orient tasks
efficiently.
Candidates will conduct fisheries, habitat, and hatchery field operations supporting Tribal fisheries
management and conservation. Perform fish sampling, PIT tagging, redd and habitat surveys,
snorkeling, trap operation, data collection, maintenance, and summary reporting. Operate standard
fisheries equipment, work independently in challenging field conditions, and assist with research,
habitat restoration, and hatchery activities. Requires experience with Pacific Northwest fish species,
strong data management and oral/writing communication, 3 yr. of work experience or a B.S. in
Fisheries or a related natural resources field, and the ability to perform physically demanding outdoor
work
Candidate must successfully pass a drug/background test administered in Warm Springs, possess a
Valid Oregon Driver’s license, and be insurable by the Tribal carrier.
