Description

We are currently seeking a seasonal Restoration Technician to join our crew for the 2025 season.
Responsibilities include:
- Invasive plant control through foliar spray and chainsaw work
- Assisting with native landscaping projects
- Prescribed burning
- Weed mapping
- Tool and equipment maintenance
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working in restoration, landscaping, farming, or related fields
- Ability to perform physically demanding field work
- Experience working with power tools
- Currently possess or have ability to obtain a State of Michigan Herbicide Applicator License
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with native plant and weed identification skills
- Experience with handheld GPS units
- Skilled in repairing power tools
- Adept at navigating on foot in natural areas
- Skilled in map interpretation and orienting oneself in the landscape
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Experience driving and backing trailers
- Experience operating ATVs
Hours and Schedule:
- June 1 - September 30: 10-hour workdays (Monday – Thursday)
- Ability to work additional overtime hours (Fridays)
