Primary job duties will include:
● Evaluate merchandising of timber at active log landings and enforce TN Forestry BMPs.
● Evaluate merchandising of timber at active log landings and enforce TN Forestry BMPs.
● Monitor record keeping of logging crews and ensure proper use of load books and load ticketing systems.
● Assist with company services such as timber cruising, inventory analysis, timber marking, boundary marking, prescribed fire, forest stand improvement, reforestation projects, etc.
● Conduct property visits to evaluate prospective projects and meet with clients.
● Create maps as requested for timber sale projects in addition to forest and wildlife management plans.
● Develop forestry and wildlife management prescriptions to produce benefits that fulfill landowner objectives.
● Procure new timber sale projects to build a sustainable book of work.

Minimum Preferred Requirements
● 2-year degree in forestry or a closely related field
● Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
● Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
● Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
● Experience using ArcGIS or similar mapping software
● Candidate must be self-motivated and organized
● Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
● Valid Driver’s License required
● Capable of working in diverse terrains and under adverse weather conditions.
● Willingness to work a flexible schedule
● Knowledge regarding commonly applied forest management and wildlife management practices
● Experience collecting and summarizing forest inventory data
● Fundamental understanding of habitat requirements for common game and non-game wildlife species
● Can demonstrate their ability to accurately assess habitat quality for common game and non-game wildlife species
● Knowledge of and experience with timber stand improvement, forest stand improvement, and prescribed fire
● Willingness to relocate to south-central Tennessee
● Passage of criminal background check

$45,000 Base Salary
Vehicle stipend and fuel card
401k w/match (After 12-month probationary period)
15% shared commission on new timber sale clients procured by employee
10 days of paid time off in addition to federal holidays
