Position Title: Regenerative Farm Manager
Location: 1458 Shaws Bend, Columbus, Texas

About Us:
We are transforming a 60-acre property in Columbus, Texas, into a thriving regenerative farm using USDA funding via the FSA program. Currently leased for farming corn, the land will be developed to support sustainable practices, soil health, and biodiversity while maintaining economic viability. We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to lead this transformative project and manage the farm’s operations.
Position Overview:
The Regenerative Farm Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive regenerative farming plan. This role includes managing daily operations, developing sustainable agricultural practices, and ensuring the farm meets its financial and ecological goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regenerative agriculture, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute a USDA-compliant regenerative farm plan.
  • Oversee all farm operations, including soil health management, crop rotation, livestock integration, and biodiversity enhancement.
  • Manage the transition of current farmland to regenerative practices, including land preparation and infrastructure setup.
  • Coordinate funding applications and ensure compliance with USDA FSA program requirements.
  • Recruit, train, and manage farm staff or seasonal workers as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of farming activities, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Implement sustainable water and waste management systems.
  • Engage with the local community, agricultural organizations, and researchers to promote the farm’s mission.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in regenerative agriculture, sustainable farming, or holistic land management.
  • Strong understanding of soil health, crop diversity, rotational grazing, and related practices.
  • Experience working with USDA funding programs or similar grant-based initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and operational plans.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and lead a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
