Description
Solom aims to create a future where business growth and ecosystem health go hand in hand. Businesses today are increasingly aware of their environmental footprint and are seeking ways to better monitor their operations to mitigate adverse effects on biodiversity. Today’s solutions focus too heavily on carbon emissions while neglecting broader effects on our biosphere.
We are looking for students passionate about biodiversity and that are willing to learn in the following areas:
-Ecology
-Conservation Biology
-Biogeography
-Bioacoustics
-Biodiversity Informatics
-Environmental Policy
-Product Management
-Regulatory Compliance
-Sustainable Finance
-Environmental Economics
-ESG
-Data Science
-Software Engineering
-GIS
One of our priorities is to simplify how businesses can report species and ecosystem impacts required in new nature reporting requirements, such as the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), and the Science-based Targets Network (SBTN).
You will be working on developing a platform to enable the conversion of ecological data into more accessible insights that are understandable for business decision-makers. To guide you through this opportunity, you will be joining a passionate team of Columbia University, Oxford University, and MIT alumni with extensive experience in wildlife conservation, government policy, and data analytics.
Shape the future of biodiversity monitoring with us.
