Are you looking for an opportunity to increase your plant identification skills, earn some money, get college credit, and spend time outdoors this summer? Our company, Grouse Mountain Environmental Consultants, is seeking multiple Seasonal Rangeland Technicians with experience in plant identification and rangeland sampling methodologies based out of our Santa Fe, NM, office. Technicians will be completing rangeland assessments and other vegetation measurement processes. The position will start in August and continue into early November (dates flexible). We are also able to work with you and your professors so that you can earn course credits. 

 

·                     Travel to and sample rangeland sites throughout the states of NM and AZ

·                     Safely navigate to rangeland sites using a GPS and a 4-wheel vehicle 

·                     Identify rangeland plants and collect vegetative forage production data

 

 

·                     High proficiency in plant identification for species of the southwest

·                     Proficient in reading maps 

·                     Willingness to travel and camp overnight

·                     Ability to lift over 30lbs 

·                     Ability to hike difficult terrain in variable weather conditions
