Shoreline Drone Services, LLC is a forward-thinking aquatic services company dedicated to improving aquatic health and productivity through sustainable and innovative technologies. We specialize in precision solutions for public and private properties, and we are currently seeking a skilled Pesticide Drone Pilot to help us manage aquatic pest and vegetation control using cutting-edge drone systems. 

Job Summary 

As a Pesticide Drone Pilot, you will operate UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) equipped for applying targeted treatments over ponds, tanks, and aquatic environments. Your role will be essential in supporting the health and efficiency of aquatic systems while ensuring environmental compliance and safety standards. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Operate and maintain drones for aquatic pesticide and herbicide application
  • Plan and execute drone missions over aquatic sites such as ponds, lakes, tanks, or aquatic vegetation zones
  • Conduct pre-flight checks, assess site conditions, and manage chemical handling
  • Apply treatments accurately to control algae, invasive plant species, and aquatic vegetation
  • Monitor weather, wind, and environmental factors to ensure safe and effective application
  • Maintain detailed logs of flights, chemical usage, and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with aquatic technicians and environmental specialists
  • Perform regular maintenance and calibration of UAV equipment


Requirements
 
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
  • Familiarity with GPS mapping, drone software, and mission planning tools
  • Ability to work in and around water environments, often in variable weather
  • Excellent situational awareness and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel 


Preferred Qualifications
 
  • TDA aquatic pesticide applicator license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Second-Class Medical Certification
  • Experience operating UAVs in aquatic or environmental settings
  • Understanding of aquatic pesticide/herbicide regulations and safe handling practices
  • Background in aquaculture, marine biology, or environmental science
  • Experience flying drones over open water or near aquatic infrastructure
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills for drone systems
