The Strategic Funding Coordinator supports funding efforts, provides technical assistance, and leads communication. This position will be the team’s lead in understanding the funding needs of Tribes and local and regional partners. The coordinator then collaborates with the team to match those needs with available funding opportunities and as needed supports the development of grant applications. The Strategic Funding Coordinator maintains the Puget Sound Recovery Acceleration Funding Tool (PS RAFT), a publicly available repository of funding opportunities. This position facilitates communication of upcoming funding opportunities through a monthly call. Additionally, the Strategic Funding Coordinator supports the team and recovery community in understanding current and innovative funding mechanisms for Puget Sound ecosystem and salmon recovery.
