Description
Rocky Mountain National Park is recruiting Biological Science Technicians for the 2026 season in various natural resources programs including vegetation management and forest health.  Within the vegetation management program, multiple crews specialize in invasive species management, revegetation, greenhouse operations, rare plant monitoring, and volunteer coordination.  Work often involves extensive hiking or camping for several days at a time in the backcountry. Positions at the GS4 level are typically entry-level crew member positions.

This is a unique opportunity to work in the 415 sq miles of mountains, forests, meadows, lakes, and alpine tundra that make up Rocky Mountain National Park, with 95% designated wilderness and 60 mountain peaks of 12,000'.

Typical entry on duty at ROMO is April - May and the season continues through September - October.

Note that the announcement on USAJOBS is a combined posting for several park units.  Applicants may apply to multiple locations.  Be sure to select Estes Park, CO if you want to be considered for Rocky Mountain National Park.  Estes Park is the east side duty station and may fill up to 8 GS4 vacancies.

The application is open until 12/15/2025, or until it receives 400 applications, which may be sooner than the closing date.
