Temporary Full-Time Position: Seasonal Fisheries Technician
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Course work towards degree in fisheries/wildlife or related field.
- Responsible, dependable, independent worker capable of physical activity.
- Ability to work long hours (8-12 hours per day) in the field with limited supervision. (This is not a part-time position.)
- Understanding of basic management practices and willingness to learn.
- Applicants must pass a pre-hire drug screening to be considered for employment.
- Clean driving record is required.
- Some overnight travel required.
Job Description:
Applicants will have the opportunity to work in the field performing day-to-day management of numerous ponds and lakes in Texas and surrounding states with an emphasis in Aquatic Plant Management and Trophy Fisheries Management. This is a seasonal full-time position, working February through June.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Electrofishing
- Data Collection
- Transporting and Stocking Fish
- Aquatic Herbicide Application
- Fertilizer / Lime / Gypsum Application
- Other Duties As Assigned
Locations:
Position based in Bryan, Johnson City, and Tyler, Texas.
