Description
Surrounded by state and national forests, Cantrell Creek Trout Farm is located in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. The ideal candidate likes working outside, in and around water, with people and trout.
We are looking for someone with experience and a can-do attitude. The Fisheries Technician supports the Production Manager in running and maintenance of farm. The FT will be responsible for care of fish from egg to trophy, including deliveries and stocking. This position reports to the Production Manager.
The FT is expected to lift materials up to 75 lbs, work indoors and outdoors, in and around water in varying climatic conditions year round. Must have clean driving record and background check. Must be able to drive manual transmission competently. Mechanical/ plumbing/ automotive/ construction skills a plus.
Schedule: full time, including occasional weekend days
Salaried position. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off, health stipend, supplemental insurance.
