Description
We are seeking one Research Technician to assist with Northern Bobwhite trapping, radio-telemetry tracking, nest monitoring, as well as other associated fieldwork which is part of a larger experimental study. Data entry, equipment maintenance, and other various duties will be required upon request of the supervisor. The selected individual will also gain opportunities to interact directly with the Indiana DNR. Technicians must be comfortable working independently and alone at night. Previous experience with handling birds and/or radio-telemetry is desired. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be willing to work in inclement weather. Housing will be provided.

Qualifications:
1.      A degree in wildlife management or closely related field
2.      An interest in game bird management and ecology
3.      Individuals need a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record
4.      An agreement/understanding of consumptive wildlife management practices
5.      A positive attitude and willingness to work independently
