Description
The Senior Technician role conducts routine and emergency site visits to maintain or repair our company's Animal Health Aqua technology systems inclusive of radio-frequency identification (RFID) components, power sources, communications infrastructure, fish counters/pumps/graders, and gas infusion systems. As part of the Post-Sales Support Team the role is key for customer support of all aspects of mature and emerging technologies. Training on the suite of our company's animal health Aqua technologies will be provided. We also work hand in hand with multiple state, federal and local agencies to monitor various natural resources, specifically wildlife around the globe.  

Key Competencies:

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation and maintenance of our company's animal health Aqua technology systems.

  • Remote monitoring and diagnosis of systems.

  • Integration of systems or components into new and existing projects.

  • Product testing and development assistance.

  • Project coordination with state, federal, tribal, and private entities.

  • Assisting with the development of annual technical and final project reports.

  • Demonstrated safe driver.

  • Desire to learn new skills and continually improve processes.

Scope & Context:

  • This position is an individual contributor role on the Post-Sales Support team reporting to the NORAM Post-Sales Support Lead.

Minimum education required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, forestry, or fisheries, or Associate's degree with equivalent experience as a technician utilizing modern technology in resource management or military experience.

  • Experience can include data analysis, animal tagging/tracking, technology installation, technology repair, etc.

  • High degree of proficiency with technical/electronic devices.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • High proficiency with computers, operating systems, networks, and wide array of electronic devices.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP network infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of RFID, IOT, M2M systems and principals.

  • The ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to problem solve on-the-fly.

  • Strong desire to learn new skills and continually improve processes within the team setting.

  • Ability to work as part of a fast paced, growing team in a developing industry.

  • Results oriented and able to work independently with modest direct supervision.

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to travel up to 35% within the US and Canada.

  • Possess a valid driver license and passport.
