Description
We are in search of a self motivated individual to fill our yearly summer ranch internship for this summer 2024. Ranch Bellas Rocas is a 10,000 acre high fence hunting ranch that features great hunters amenities and has 17 different big game species on the property. While hunts are typically ran September through May there is a chance for the intern to help with some hunting groups coming out to the ranch.
The intern's tasks include but are not limited to:
The intern's tasks include but are not limited to:
- Checking, maintaining and filling waters throughout the ranch
- Checking and filling protein feeders using the trailer feed blower
- Checking fence line
- Assist in controlling feral hog populations throughout the property
- Habitat work consisting of red cedar removal, oak/acorn crop enhancement, building up new wetlands and stock ponds, and brush management
- Assist in the yearly spotlight surveys
- Maintenance on work vehicles and machinery
- Assisting staff with miscellaneous projects
Applicants must be able to life 50lbs, be self motivated, work in a team setting and individually. Experience with tractors, skid steers, driving a truck and trailer, and general interest in the outdoors is preferred.
